Stuff About Me
I'm just a Southern gal living in the North Country of New York state with a hubby, 5 kids, a dog and a cat. We'll live, love and create as we share our stories and heartaches.

Bring your yarn, hooks and needles and come sit a spell with me. And when you're done, y'all come back, ya hear?

Thirteen Things I Do to Relax

  1. Read my Bible
  2. Pray the Rosary
  3. Crochet
  4. Knit
  5. Make rosaries
  6. Play a game on my DS
  7. Make latch hook rugs
  8. Drink a cup of hot tea
  9. Sing
  10. Play my flute
  11. Drink a glass of egg nog with Crown Royal
  12. Drink a Smirnoff Ice–fave is green apple
  13. Lay down in a dark room

The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Visiting fellow Thirteeners is encouraged! If you participate, leave the link to your Thirteen in others comments. It’s easy, and fun! Be sure to update your Thirteen with links that are left for you, as well! I will link to everyone who participates and leaves a link to their 13 things. Trackbacks, pings, comment links accepted!

NOTE: If I left a link but did not comment on your blog, I apologize. I was having issues with some of the comment modules loading through Blogger. I will try again later.

  4. Gabrielle says:

Wow. You play flute! I love its sound… How long have you been playing flute?

    Thanks for stopping by :)

  5. CatsCradleCreations says:

I’ve played flute since I was 11, so a bit over 18 years now. I’m playing with my church choir now, so I get to play more often than I used to.

needlepoint works for me. as does playing certain repetitive computer games. also meditation. but the greatest of all relaxers for me is immersing myself in a story. I’ve been depriving myself of almost all of these because I thot duty comes first. I changed gears after posting my TT. I don’t know whether I will be congratulating myself for it or kicking myself even harder in a couple days–but I have just binged on five Lost episodes which are provided free on ABC.com for broadband. I had been saving them until i had ‘earned’ them with all work caught up including NaNo word-count. I don’t know whether this will kick-start my muse or just kick it on down the road. But for the moment I am more relaxed. stories are my drug of choice. if I can’t make my own I have to have them any how I can get them.

thanxs for visiting and for the encouragement
    love joy peace

Those are great thing to do to relax. :) One of these days (probably when I’m finished my Masters degree) I’ll get back to crocheting. :)

    Happy T13. :)

Good list! Hot tea is relaxing; I’ve never learned to knit or crochet before though!
    Thanks for stopping by.

  11. maggie says:

Do you sip the Crown Royal while doing 1 and 2?

    Just joking. Great TT

  12. Barb says:

I like to crochet, too :)

  13. I like to say the rosary as I’m going to sleep to relax too.

  14. CatsCradleCreations says:

Maggie, I usually save the Crown Royal for later. 1 and 2 (and 5) don’t mix with Crown Royal! LOL

  15. Cheryl says:

Great list. I relax by reading a favorite book, especially after all the kids have gone to bed!

  16. Chaotic Mom says:

I am SO with you. Bible first, but don’t forget the spiked egg nog. GREAT list! ;)

I’ve posted my Thursday Thirteen, too. Enjoy!

  17. Denise says:

Thanks for stopping by my site and leaving such an encouraging comment!

  18. Jen says:

Ooh, I like to knit and crochet, too! I love how you can actually FINISH something when you’re working with yarn, unlike the laundry/dishes/cooking, etc. They’re never done!
